Hanukkah Lights Up Colorado Springs

Hanukkah, the Jewish winter holiday commemorating freedom from oppression, is upon us.  Here are a few ways to celebrate The Festival of Lights in Colorado Springs:


19 Kislev Celebration Dinner and Evening of Jewish Music

Thursday December 7th 6:30 pm – 9:00 pm at Chabad Lubavitch of Southern Colorado

Guest Rabbi, Four course brisket dinner, and four piece orchestra

Cost: $30 ahead of time $36 at the door


Chanukkah Fair

Sunday December 10th 9:30 am – 12:30 pm at Temple Shalom

Not much information is given, is a PTO for the Sisterhood at Temple Shalom


Hanukkah Lighting Jewish Community Event

Tuesday December 12th 5:30 pm – 6:00pm


Giant Ice Menorah Lighting with Israeli Buffet

Thursday December 14th 6pm at Chabad Lubavitch of Southern Colorado

Menorah lighting


Free Hanukkah Concert by The Little London Winds

Friday December 15th 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm at Temple Shalom

Hanukkah and Klezmer music to celebrate Hanukkah


Latke Potluck and Shabbat Service

Friday December 15th  6:00 pm at Temple Beit Torah

Lighting of Hanukkiahs and a latke potluck


Latkes and Vodkas

Saturday December 16th 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm

Latkes, Vodkas for adults, Havdalah, Hanukkah crafts, dreidel spinning contest and Hanukkah sing-along

All ages sign-up on their website

Cost: $18/ per adult and kids pay their age
