Spotlight: Chelsy Harris, APT Employee of the Year

Chelsy Harris serves as the Dean of High School Programs and Concurrent Enrollment, serving the College for twelve years. Her commitment and dedication shines among students, faculty, staff, high schools and the Colorado Springs community as evidenced by the unprecedented enrollment increase in Concurrent Enrollment to 1,600+ students this fall semester.

Harris guided her team with successful partnerships in over 70 area high schools creating opportunities for the high school population.

Additionally, Harris contributed her problem-solving and forward thinking by securing a Zoo-keeping classroom at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, welding space to learn and train at Springs Fabrication and high school students enrolling in the Construction Program.

Harris currently serves on the State Application Commission for the Colorado Community College System, State Advisory Board for Concurrent Enrollment and represents the college on the Pikes Peak Area Superintendent’s Association.
